Be Green House

In the beginning we were approached to develop some concepts for a new interactive display exhibit to replace the outdated “construction zone”. The Boonshoft organizers were hoping to incorporate sustainable/green building practices with in the exhibit.

Our proposal was to design a house, something in which children could relate to, that would feature as many “green” ideas as posible. Our intent was to expose the children to eco-friendly methods with the hopes of also educating parents.

Using a 3D modeling tool, we were able to develop our idea further and create color renderings that were used to procure additional funding and served as a template for the creation of shop drawings.

The “Be Green House” opened in February of 2010 and has become quite an attraction for children of all ages.
